Oct 22, 2010: FINAL REVIEW!
Today 80Days' had its final review meeting in Graz, Austria. The reviewers and the project offer were fully satisfied with the project's great achievements and all deliverables were accepted. Congratulations and thanks for all your efforts and this wonderful project!


September 30, 2010: THANKS A LOT!

April 20, 2009: 80Days @ gamescom
80Days will celebrate the serious games at Europe's new trade fair and event highlight of the intera. The project will have its own booth in the serious games section at the gamescom 2009, taking place from August 19th to 23rd 2009 in the fair halls of Cologne.

Jan 31, 2009: 80Days-Traveler Daniel Schwarz talks about European research in the new field of digital game-based learning.
In the quaterly issue of the design magazine magasign – magasign 01/09 – which is published by the design association KölnDesign e.V. (www.koelndesign.de) - 80Days-Traveler Daniel Schwarz from takomat gives an interview about the role of video games for the future of learning in the 21st. century and speaks together with Bodo Wirtz about the results of European projects.

Nov 28, 2008: ICT Event 2008 - Europe's biggest research event for information and communication technologies
The biennial ICT Event, in 2008 held in Lyon, France, is the most important forum for discussing research and public policy in information and communication technologies at European level. The Event brings together researchers and innovators, policy and business decision-makers working in the field of digital technologies. 80Days’ coordinator, the Cognitive Science Section of the Department of Psychology at the University of Graz presented and demonstrated several research projects, among them, 80Days. The exhibition stand particularly emphasized the importance of human-centered, cognitive aspects in leading-edge educational technology.

Nov 7, 2008: iTEC – Your Technology Hotspot
Stefan Göbel (ZGDV) organised a serious games workshop at iTEC08 – Your Technology Hotspot, Darmstadt, Germany. iTEC presents the latest international trends in information and communication technologies as well as the most important trends made in the ICT-Hotspot Hessen, Germany to an international audience.
Michael Kickmeier-Rust (University of Graz) presented the concept of immersive digital educational games as a significant and worthwhile part of future learning technologies.
 

April 14 - 15, 2008: 80Days' KICK-OFF
The project official starts its work with a kick-off meeting under the attendance of the EC project officer Marco Marsella. Besides settling the adminitrstive issues, the aim of the meeting is to find a common ground, vision, and mission for the coming 30 months.
